Prince’s Island Park

Prince’s Island Park is a little island in the middle of the Bow River just north of downtown Calgary.

There are 3 pedestrian bridges that link the island to the Bow River’s south bank and one pedestrian bridge connects to the north bank. My Prince’s Island trip started on the south side of the Centre Street bridge, which reminded me of Vancouver’s Lions Gate Bridge, but smaller.

Bees and lavender in Point Grey


A couple of weeks ago, I spent an afternoon making cookies and preparing dinner in a friend’s kitchen, just south of Spanish Banks. At 6:30, I started up┬áBlanca to catch the bus on 4th, but ended up taking a whimsical left turn onto Belmont. The golden evening sun called for some aimless wandering on unknown sidewalks in appreciation of street-lining trees and lush front gardens.
