Great Blue Heron at CRAB Park. I saw this heron last week, a few meters from where I took the picture of a seagull with a starfish in its mouth.
I like the way the heron wraps its wings over its body like a shawl.
Another heron on the smaller, more westerly beach. The afternoon light was starting to fade. The sky was overcast with a high, bright layer of light grey clouds. No sunshine, but no rain either.
Same heron as above.
The first heron I saw in the park. It was sitting atop a pylon, too far away for me to discern any details beyond a silhouette. When it spread its wing to soar over the water, I was curious to see what kind of picture I could get.
