When water turns to ice

The shallow and slow moving edges of the Bow River are frozen. Here and there, a little hole in the ice gives me a glimpse of water flowing over rounded rocks. Ice can be a bit of a nuisance in the winter but it can also be a delightful sight. Frozen water has so many transmutations.
